A few things.

The new blog is going very well. I'll still post on here for the more personal things, since it's mostly just an outlet for my political commentary and fiction. I already have a follower that I don't know, and two other people have "liked" two of my posts! It's the little things that make me happy. Here's the link once more: allmyarmour.tumblr.com. It's also streaming directly to Facebook now. Ahh, technology.

Today is the last day of school. Unfortunately, since I'm not a teacher, I will be working right through the summer. I do, however, have two weeks off from late July - early August and a conference in Delaware for the entire last week of June. It's going to be a LOT of work, but I love that kind of thing. I'm going to be learning something entirely new: PR and marketing. I'm scared, because I hate doing things if I'm not good at them right away (even before learning anything). It's stupid and keeps me from doing a lot of stuff. But I know once I get there and start learning a little every day it will seem manageable. So, yay Delaware!

We've begun packing up the apartment, slowly but surely. I cleared all of my books from the shelves in my writing room and cleared out my desk. It seems so empty now! As I dropped the first books into a cardboard box, it hit me that this move was really happening. While I'm pretty nervous about it, I think it's just about moving everything from one place to another. It's very overwhelming. I'm really not worried at all about having a roommate. I think it will be fun, and we'll always be able to just go in our room and close the door for some alone time. Plus, as I told her last night, wherever we are together with our babies, that's home. And this is the best thing we've done for ourselves in so long.

Hmm...I think that's it. Oh, and I found out that artificial insemination isn't as expensive as I thought. NOT that we're considering kids any time soon, and I may want to adopt instead. But it's good to know we have options.
