  • if you haven't read Orwell's "Politics and the English Language," do so now. This should be required reading for everyone on the planet. Written in 1946 and still right on the money... doh!

    separated at birth?

  • also check out Brian Eno's talk to the Long Now foundation given back in 2003. It's available for download in 4 parts here:

    1 | 2 | 3 | 4

He's totally my hero... funny, smart, creative, and still relevant. I didn't realize it until now, but he's got a few books on Amazon that I need to check out. He also references this book in his talk which looks like an interesting read.

Other lectures in the series can be downloaded from here (with text transcripts). I've listened to about 5 or 6 of them so far and they're all enlightening.

  • speaking of Eno... this is the only thing of Moby's that I actually consider to be worth a damn...

    perfect bedtime music.

eno, moby, orwell, cliches, lists, mp3s
