I'm pretty much done with summer homework. I have to read over draft 3 of my critical essay (yeah, that's right- 3 drafts and more to come) and finish Eats, Shoots and Leaves, which shouldn't be too hard.
A few more noteworthy things about band camp:
I'm C5 for the fourth year in a row. If you don't know what that means, just know that it's either really cool or really geeky.
Kelly and Evan are helping again this year. They're really cool.
Band camp went really well. We're able to march/play through the opener and the really short ballad.
Ok, that's it.
East Hill Farm was pretty fun. It was weird getting there on Friday, because everyone else was getting ready to leave on Saturday morning. My brother was pretty bummed when his friends left, we ended up having a good time. It would still be more fun if I had friends up there/brought someone with me, but whatever.
During band camp week, I got my schedule "fixed". Here's the current schedule:
1: Concert Choir, Cole
2: Play Production, Clapp
3: Chem II Honors, O' Neil (Should I be afraid? Very afraid?)
4: Band, Lutz
5: AP Spanish, Simson
6: Honors Physics, Neily
7: AP English, Clapp
I'm going to talk to Ms. Nagle on the first day of school and see if I can do AP Calculus as an independent study. If not, then I'll drop Spanish and take Calculus that period instead. Damn them for scheduling two AP classes the same period! Whether or not I take Spanish and Calculus could have a big impact on my class rank and how colleges judge my transcript. I know I shouldn't care too much about that stuff, but I do. So I really hope I get to take both classes.
Chem II Honors is a new one, is it not? I didn't originally request to have it put in my schedule, but it meets during the period I had free. I got the homework from someone last week and finished it yesterday.
Today was somewhat eventful. I went to the mall with BDawg and saw many people there who I knew. Such as: Barbara Schibelli, Chris Williams, Kim, Brendan, Brian D., Ozzy and children, and Liz and Jess Coppla. I also think I saw this girl Caroline who I went to either daycare or preschool with. So obviously, the mall was the place to be tonight! I went to all the 8 gazillion different shoe stores in the mall without finding anything I really liked. So I finally settled on plain black Converse All-Stars, which could be found in all 8 gazillion shoe stores. When I first put them on, I felt a sudden urge to put on a pyramid poser belt, but luckily the urge is fading. They're really cool and pretty comfortable. My old sneakers are still in fairly good shape, so I can wear those to band and other random events. I was originally planning on getting a pair of black ankle-boot type shoes to wear when I wanted to be dressy, but I decided to just get the sneakers because a) black ankle-boot type shoes aren't really that comfortable and b) I'm really more into being comfortable than anything else. Jeans and sneakers all the way!
Tomorrow is going to be pretty busy. Hair appointment, doctor's appointment, band, getting ready for school. Add a few hours of tossing and turning and I can call it a night.
