I should probably post this while I'm still in somewhat good mood

Let's be thankful and stuff! I'm thankful (in no particular order) for...

-Maggie
She kicks ass and teaches me how to make Ramen in the microwave and listens to my problems and helps me have fun when I'm back in Malden. And when she still had a car, she drove me places and blasted music. Word.

-the "crew"
Brian Derrick, Laura, Diana, Joel, Mahhhk, etc. You guys are all a lot of fun to hang out with. I had a really good time this summer going to Coldstone, having Degrassi parties, listening to Mark make up raps, you know. Hopefully we'll get to hang out over Christmas break.

-the guys from my classes last year
Shawn, Andy, Minh, Mikhail, Hieu, et al. Thanks for helping me in calc and physics, and making things interesting in calc class when we got sick of listening to Ms. Nagle. I miss you!

-living in Malden, in a house, in America
Even though I bitch about Malden a lot, I probably don't mean half of what I say. I've met a lot of really awesome, interesting people here, and I love the diversity of Malden.
It's nice to live in a house. Especially when it's really cold outside. Yep.
Another place I bitch about a lot is America. Putting thoughts of imperialism and arrogance aside, I'm grateful that I live in a country where freedom and liberty are cherished (for the most part), where women can vote, and where gay marriage is legal in some states. Rock on, Massachusetts.

-my parents
I'm continually amazed at how much they're willing to put up with. I'm grateful that I have three (!) parents who would drive me to and from voice lessons, dance classes, and various rehearsals, attempt to help me with homework, stretch things very thin so that I can afford to go to a private university, and attend as many of my performances as they can.
My brother's pretty cool too.

-Cornell
Thank you to Yale and Brown for rejecting me. Thank you to Cornell for accepting me. Thanks to my ex-uncle Jeff and my aunt Wendy for urging me to apply to Cornell. Thank you to my parents for pushing me to go to Cornell. Thanks to financial aid for making it somewhat possible.
Cornell is amazing. The campus is gorgeous, the people are interesting, and the food is awesome. I love being mediocre for one of the first times in my life.

-the Big Red Marching Band
I'll never forget the day I walked into the band room at Barton for the first time, shook hands with Rose, sat down next to Minh, and joined what will probably be one of the most awesome groups on campus. I'm so glad I get to march for another four years. The band made me feel welcome and accepted in a school of over 13,000 people, and I'll always be grateful for that.

-the "OC"
I love you guys. You rock. Hopefully we'll be friends for a very long time. Thank you for all the AIM conversations, the meals together, the Taco Bell/Donut Connection excursions during road trips.

-Elliot
Yeah, he's pretty cool too.

Ewww, now I feel all cheesy. Anyway, have a happy Thanksgiving! Be thankful and stuff!
