I really love shiitake mushrooms, especially if cooked in olive oil with crushed red peppers, put them on pasta, and covered with parmesan.  Yum!  I'm going to try invader_jim's suggestion with ginger and garlic in a stir fry next and put a gooey fried egg on top.  Because I can.   Tomorrow I'm bringing some of the harvest from the log to my co- ( Read more... )

Last weekend I saw the silent version of A Midsummer Night's Dream withneotoma .  It was very good, not as good as the earlier Hamlet I thought, but Midsummer is one of my favorite plays  (it's got Puck in it, c'mon! -- not to mention Bottom) so it got major sparkly points.   Yes there were actual sparkles -- they're mandatory with fairies I am fairly  ( Read more... )

They come in cereal boxes and they light up!  Evil Lurker opened a box of impulse-bought Corn Pops to find it for me.  He is awesome.  And I am a dork.

Now if I could just figure out a way to replace my staff badge with it...
