This lovely melody pictured in rain is from the 1987 Hindi film Imaandar ( = Honest Man). Sung by Asha Bhosle, Music was composed by Kalyanji Anandji and Lyrics were penned by Prakash Mehra.

Whenever I listen to this song, I remember this funny incident (well it wasn’t funny back then) that happened to me at work a few years ago. It was a little late in the evening and I was still at work trying to get a few things completed. Assuming there were none at work, I started to sing this song aloud. Only reason I picked this song was because of the first line.

Yeah, yeah, pretty funny, right!! Well, the funnier part was mid-way thru the song when I paused to take a sip of water I heard these claps coming from the other side of my desk. That’s when I saw that there were a bunch of my colleagues standing there laughing and clapping at the same time. I was told that I had a great voice and although most didn’t understand what I was singing it sounded pure bliss. Well, I never knew I could sing least alone get appreciated for it. It was one memorable moment for me that ended my day in a wonderful euphoria. And, no, I never sang aloud again cause I know it’s a one time event for me. **Wicked Grin**
