Before this semester started, I promised myself I'd make a number of important changes to my life to improve my performance in school, my health, my peace of mind, my relationships, my spirituality, and my general sense of well-being. The most important of these changes was to get more sleep. Other goals included writing more letters, taking the time to study the Bible, joining an organization or volunteer group, talking more in class, copying my notes unto my computer, visiting my professors' office hours, listening to more music, taking more walks, reading more fiction (and poetry), wasting less time, eating healthier, drinking more water, drinking less coffee, being friendlier, starting a new hobby, briefing more cases, going out more often, spending less money, organizing my stuff better, exercising more frequently, going to church every week, calling up more friends, writing in this journal more frequently, mediating regularly, paying better attention to what others are saying, seeing more movies, taking shorter showers, taking less naps, smiling more frequently, being less sullen, and finally getting my act together. So far, I've failed in every single goal (especially the sleep one).
Tomorrow, however, will be a new day and give me new opportunities to improve my life. I just wish I had finished my Torts homework for tomorrow so I could go to bed now...
