1. "Decadence" is one of my favorite words. I'd like to use it more frequently in conversation, but am afraid I'll sound too communist if I do. I like the religious aspects of the word.
2. I went to Meijer yesterday. Unfortunately, so did everyone else in Bay City. I've decided the only thing spoiling my shopping experience at Meijer is the presence of other people in the store. And the fact that I can never find the soap (it should be with the other hygiene products).
3. I'm afraid I've increasingly been drifting towards misanthropy lately. I think it's because I've begun to follow politics again. I've also just finished reading two Russian books that dealt heavily with human suffering and corruption. Greed and cruelty always seem to win.
3. Actually, it may not be misanthropy so much as depression.
4. Tomorrow, I start another week at work. So far, work hasn't been too bad; I've been able to research several interesting legal problems and actually feel like I'm learning something. Hopefully, by the time I head off to law school, I'll have some understanding of the Uniform Commercial Code, which has been surprisingly difficult for me to understand.
5. "Sin", "Corruption", and "Hedonistic" are quickly becoming favorite words of mine as well; I just like their evil-sounding tone. Sometimes I think I'd have fun being an angry prophet of sorts.
