This movie made me cry too and I'm pretty much a rock in movies.

But did you know it would b sad? I didn't. I'm pretty sure it was after seeing this movie that I always made a point to do a little research on a story and not just trust what the trailer showed me. :p

I thought it was going to be a fantasy thing like Lion, the witch and the wardrobe. It shocked me. I should have learned the same lesson as you, but Hugo threw me for a loop too. Not what I expected.

LOL, I didn't know Hugo was the same, but I could have guessed some angst because, well, since when does a Scorcese film ever end with a happily ever after?

.... so I am super appreciative for this post because I've been meaning to watch this movie and now I can take appropriate measures to ensure no one is subjected to me bawling, haha.

YES. I recommend a big box of tissues. I watched it with my then-10 year old brother and it was SO AWKWARD because *I* was the one going, "Its okay, I'm sure this is all just some dark magic illusion and -- see? See? I'm right! It's not really -- the ending credits. CRAP."
