The art of reinvention

Its said every day is a chance for a new beginning.  But I believe the beginning of a new year, more than any other time of the year, is when the feeling (and more importantly, the resolve) for change is strongest.

A mini-me!

Agree with all of it! If you never fall, you never learn that you *can* pick yourself up again.

Cheers to one life, that we gotta grab by the balls (who came up with that expression anyway, seriously? grab something by the balls????) lest we miss the chance entirely

I'm fairly certain the person who came up with the expression was literally referring to a guy or a male animal in general.

Urban dictionary here I come!
grab the bear by the balls: To tackle a difficult challenge as soon as it arises instead of procrastinating.

And because I also liked this line:
'Forget taking life by the horns, I was gonna grab it by the balls, give it a big squeeze, and show it who was boss. '

As the expression kind of goes, 'don't change an already good thing'. I'm sure you're only being modest by saying your life is plain. I, unfortunately, am of the type that has never quite been satisfied with the current state of things (thinking, 'it could always be just a little bit better!'), was heavily influenced by a Disney childhood, and so am easily lured by the temptation of adventure in the great wide somewhere. Therefore, the need for new year resolve.
