men grow cold when girls grow old, and we all lose our charms in the end

ETA: Well, that was a douchebag thing of me to say. I'm going to try to reply to your comments, do not fear. I have questions that shall be destroyed by answers.

However, I will stand by the statement that life gives you shit and you have to make shit-ade out of it sometimes. It is a Penny Arcade quote, classic and all too true. Undeniably true.

Anyway...

I'd like to share scans from a book I checked out from the library. If you are Asian and ever wondered about make-up that suits you and not a white female instead, this book, "Asian Faces" by Taylor Chang-Babaian is a great resource. It's simple yet detailed and has tons of beautiful professional pictures and looks for inspiration. I love that it emphasizes Asian facial features, but experiments with a lot of styles that are cool and hip as well. Being Asian, it's hard to find tips that suit you. For one thing, this supposed crease that Caucasians have I can barely see because I'm Vietnamese. I also lack interesting contours and well, depths that African and Caucasian females have a little more of. Having straight hair means Asian eyelashes and eyebrows grow differently from African and Caucasian people, which means needing different tools that you can apparently only find in Japan. Of course everyone has greasy skin and acne, but she has good reminders about that as well. I'm glad I picked this book up, even though I will never use most of these weird make-up tools, it's good to know someone is addressing a need... in English... for those of us Asians who didn't learn the mother language.

Oh, just want to apologize, my scanner sucks and I'm also trying to not ruin the book's binding, it's a library book, but you should get the basic idea with these images.

This decade is the 1900s. I like the nude, neutral lips.

This is the 1920s. Very glamorous flapper! Although I like my brows the way they are.

1940s pin-up. Simply beautiful, gorgeous red lipstick.

1950s. This model is Indian, so I don't think I can pull off some of the colors for myself, but look how sophisticated she looks.

1970s. Very glossy, carefree.

I obviously skipped a few decades.

I'll be adding to this gallery later if you are interested in seeing them. How many Asians do I have on my friendslist anyway?
