What Jeff knew:
1) How to do simple riffs
2) Playing with, at most, three strings
What Jeff wants to do:
1) Play chords (more than one strings, you hapless bastards)
2) Sustain picking (my arm gets hella tired)
Problem:
1) Jeff sucks. Muy.
2) Jeff popped his high string tuning, so he has a five-string guitar presently.
What Jeff did:
1) Started writing a song
2) Improvised like a mofo, yo
Anyways, the interesting bit:
First of all, I have the beginnings of a song build up. Some of you have heard it, some haven't. Basically, I'm going at this Jimi-style.. playing until something comes along, then playing it again on tape, and adding more stuff.

So I decided to play House of the Rising Sun (By 'The Animals', you animals!).
Now, some background on a guitar. It has six strings. The string needed in most songs that I listen to is ts the bottom one, the highest. There really isn't any good way of improvising (at least, with my current skill level).
House of the rising sun, on Youtube House on the rising sun uses this string roughly every two seconds.
In other words, this was a very stupid song to play.
What did I do?
Play it sort of whack-ass different.
And it sort of sounds nice.. although a) my electric is currently played with a microphone, ie: crap sound, and b) I can't actually feel my left hand right now.
