New Year post!!!!!
Happy New Year!!!
It's 2009 already...
I've got no resolutions...
But until I do, there's something I want to reminisce from the year 2008...
Everyone's got weird dreams at some point.
I'm sure I had more than I could remember.
One of them I remembered had several orange canoes, making a campfire inside a wooden interior of a ship caught in a storm, and rowing out in weirdly, different-colored waters...which at the end made no sense...
Even the beginning was weird, since it looked like some 8-bit game about pushing blocks...
There was also a background music that sounded like, well...SNES game music.
I think there's a game like that in Linux, but you don't push blocks in that one, you push crystals.
Strangely enough, the ship wasn't rocking even though the waves outside were going on a frenzy, and even though the campfire inside the ship was pretty big, it didn't burn the obviously-combustible-plywood-floored-log-walled interior...WEIRD...
And what was with the water??
I thought it was storming outside, but why was it calm when I came out canoeing?
(Note: I have ZERO knowledge of canoeing in real life)
Not to mention the water was like in patches.
Some parts were brown, red in others, then some of the water stayed blue-green, turquoise, blue (okay, that's pretty normal) ...then orange, pink and yellow? (What the...?)
Um..enough about that dream...
I had another one on the night most of the world called "Christmas Eve".
The dream started weird already.
I dreamt my final semester exams got rescheduled--into that day.
And naturally, I panicked since haven't prepared myself for it (that's true IRL..)
Strange thing number 1: When this dream occured, I was sleeping over at my friend's house in Depok. For some reason I've magically been transported to Bandung, the city I'm attending college in. In real life, it's approximately a 3-hour drive or 4-hour train ride between those cities.
Strange thing number 2: I was dressed in my junior high uniform. (huh? I thought I'm attending college already!)
Strange thing number 3: Everyone else was dressed in a high school uniform, and for some reason I knew that I'm supposed to wear one too...even though the setting was at my campus, i.e. college, meaning I don't NEED to wear school uniforms anymore!! WHAT THE HECK???
Moving right along...
Now that I somehow knew I needed my uniform, it's time to get it!
And then...
Strange thing number 4: I was magically transported again...to some place similar to my cousin's old house. And I was searching in a drawer that turned out to be.......*gasp* EMPTY (insert "OH NOEZ" here)
Time to get moving!!
La-la-la-la-laaaaaaaaa~~
Strange thing number 5: I wound up in a garden that looks like something out of the first Spyro the Dragon's level "Stone Hill"

Anyway, it's something like that..fully pixelated a la a Playstation game back in the day.
The difference was, there were these HUMONGOUS...pitcher plants.
They were wilted, transparent, orange in color, and instead of insects in them, they had *GASP*!!!!
Strange thing number 6: TREASURE CHESTS (Insert ooohs and aaahs here)
Strange thing number 7: I actually knew that one of them had my uniform in it.
So here I go, about to get that treasure chest...BUT!!
I can't! 'Cause it's supposed to be like that in my dream!
So what to do? I can't take my exam without a uniform...oh, wait...
Strange thing number 8: A fairy appeared. Just like this one pixelated in the same way and all, but with an orange dress. Her hair was..red, I think. And for some reason or another, a text box appeared when she spoke (like the one in the picture, but with much smaller letters...she talked in really long sentences...)
I remember her saying something like, the plants needed........something to make them fresh again and allowing me to get the treasure chests, I think it was a fertilizer or some sort.
For some reason, it was shaped like a medal.......okaaaaaaaaaay..........
And that fairy was kind enough to show me where to go.
But she didn't become my guide...
Strange thing number 9: A map appeared out of nowhere and covered the whole view. It's like when you open a world map in RPGs.
Strange thing number 10: The whole view suddenly zooms in on a part of the map, supposedly where that fertilizer-thingy was.
And then...........
I woke up.
