Trying to get in the Christmas Spirit

I'm up home in MI (using my Mom's computer).  It is only a couple days away from Christmas and trying to get  into the mood. The lack of snow back in KS and warm weather wasn't helping. I didn't have any shopping done nor decorating. Some of the apts around my place had lights up and some with some pretty nice displays. On the drive up I was feeling a little better snow-wise; there was snow all across Iowa, IL, IN, and into MI. That helped some but I was somewhat distracted as you can imagine. There was planty of snow (several inches, not sure how much) when  I got home. It had been a little warmish and by this morning much of it had melted off. When I took Toto for his walk this morning I noticed that it was considerably colder, windy, and saw a few flakes floating around. Now I can see a lot more flakes but no where near enough to accumulate any yet. But I think we will probably be getting more soon.

I'm working on getting some decorating here done. I'm going to be cleaning off the coffee table so that we can set the tree up. We have a couple wreaths sitting in the hallway I can put up. I need to see if I can find the hangers for them. I'm not sure where the rest of the decorations are so that may wait until tonight after my Mom gets back from the hospital. Maybe I can get some shopping done today or tomorrow. I did get the turkey out of the freezer and put in the fridge to thaw. Hopefully it will be thawed in time.
