Geez, almost 1 month since I last posted here... Where does the time go?
I've been pretty busy though. I've been to 2 more 21st's which were both pretty good, one in particular was an absolutely fantastic night. I ended up staying the night (I was over the limit to drive and was having way too much fun to realise where the time went). The first one was a dress-up one, we had to come as a movie character. I ended up going as The Phantom of the Opera, only because I'd seen it the week before, and it gave me the idea. Plus, it was made into a movie, although not nearly as good as the production. There were lots of other characters there too. A Darth Vader, Aladdin, Private Ryan, Catwoman (who was actually a male...), two incarnations of Dr Who and loads of others. I may have gotten a tad too inebriated, but I was still in control, and knew when to stop, so it was alright.
I've also seen a few more movies since then too. I saw Evan Almighty which was pretty good. It was funnier than I thought it would be too. I also saw The Brave One, which was fantastic! It's very long, but well worth the watch. Jodi Foster is an excellent actress. I have also seen The Kingdom, which was equally as good, but a lot more violent and some scenes were quite disturbing. It was all about terrorism. I have to admit though, there are way too many films about terrorism these days. Can't they write about something else? What happened to your murder mysteries and psychological thrillers? I realise there is terrorism out there, but they are really over-doing it. I went and saw Saw IV as well last night. Let's just say that it's very gory and most scenes would be disturbing to children, which is why it's rated MA (Restricted to Mature Audiences) of course. I wouldn't say I didn't enjoy it, but I wasn't overly impressed with it either. Tomorrow we're going to see Resident Evil: Extinction with work which should be a lot of fun.
Other things have changed as well. I went out on a date last night! It's been a long time (like 9 months) since I'd been on a date, so it was slightly nerve-racking. We saw Saw IV, maybe not the most appropriate movie for a first date, but hey, it went still very well. His name is Shaun, and he's a really nice guy. After the movie, we went for a bit of a walk, it was a good night for it with the wind blowing nicely and that. He's asked me out again, and I've said yes. So yeah, as of this point, I'm no longer single!
I am also no longer at NLC. I have completed my tenure there, after how ever many months its been. I'm both happy it's over, and sad at the same time. It grew on me, I got along with all the staff there, and had made friends. I didn't get the chance to say good bye either because I found out on Friday afternoon (and I don't go there on Friday's). It also means I can't have lunch with Tim (not that I can at the moment seeing as he's in America at the moment) on Tuesday's anymore, which I am going to really miss. I'd look forward to them every week. It was one of the only good things about the Tuesday, that and then going to a movie after work. I'm really going to miss that. I think as Melbourne Cup is coming up next week, Tim will be back, and I have the day off. We're going to go in and have one last lunch for old time's sake and so I can tell the restaurant who know us really well now (since we've gone there every time we've gone out for lunch) that we won't be able to come back as I'm not in the city anymore.
So yeah, that's the updates in my life at the moment!
