Victory Smells Like a $15 Gift Certificate

I am thrilled, and somewhat stunned, to announce that I have placed second in the Universal Fanfiction Open Best Overall category, hosted by dotmoon.net , for my story, "Of Course."

I honestly never saw this coming. It's kind of an lolwhut moment for me. I feel honored and validated and I got to laugh victoriously at my mom because ha fanfiction CAN get me somewhere, but I was honestly blindsighted by it.

I don't know how my friends feel, but fanfiction - my fanfiction - is important to me. I learned to write by writing fanfic - though of course, I'm still learning - and I don't regret a minute of it. Now, however, I have proof to show others that it meant something. My writing would not be what it is today if I hadn't had fanfiction.

I love to write. And I'll be damned if I don't make a career out of it.

PIMPAGE TIME:

All of you. ALL OF YOU. Go to dotmoon.net right now and join up. They're an awesome site, and they need more members. Also, Dej is a kickass moderator. So go!

Off-Topic: To all my Twifan friends (Hannah, Andy, Judo, I'm looking at you), I won't bother you by ranting about my hatred for the series. Can you just tell me how the bloody hell Edward got Bella pregnant?! Was it like fucking a popsicle? Because I'm really curious about this.

OT2: I finally got my google docs back. THANKS GOOGLE. YOU WERE REALLY GOOD ABOUT TAKING CARE OF THIS HUGE PROBLEM SO QUICKLY. HOPEFULLY NO ONE ELSE IS EXPERIENCING IT-- OH WAIT. Now I can share docs again =D. Finally.

OT3: Where are all my friends? Especially my Zaika gang. BBs, I need you!
