Thanks or all the responses. New rule as of today, back packs not even aloud hanging on you bike outside the T-barriers. Perfect. And although you all articulated your arguments well I must disagree with the idea that the no back pack rule is good. To be honest, I agree with you.

Better site security is needed, not telling people they have to spend half their lunch break going back and forth trying to find somewhere to secure their backpack just so that they can go eat. Search people, search id's.

And as a Reservist I also agree. I've done 10 months out there - that's one and a half tours in British terms. And now I'm back in England. But I'm also seeing the opposite of you; I'm seeing Reserve officers who have never and probably will never spend any time in a warzone who think they have the right to give me orders because they're officers. My time was done in Iraq as an MoD (US=DoD) officer, although my Reserve rank is non-commissioned. I'm not going to take orders from a Reserve officer who is trying to establish themselves, when I know they have no experience, are wrong in what they're saying, and their civillian job is quite frankly, well below mine.

I guess Iraq has made me more respectful of those who do their jobs right and take pride in it, but also a lot more insubordinate towards incompetance in the structure.
