at least five reasons that my day was awesome
1. my alarm clock reset itself in the night and didn't wake me up at 8:00 am like it was supposed to, so I got lots of sleep.
2. Bruce is the kind of awesome person who would never yell at me for being late to an unpaid internship.
3. every one of the five lights between I-95 and the beltway on route 43 was green for me (I'm pretty sure I calculated the probability of that happening in high school algebra, and it was next to zero).
4. Bruce said that my cover design for Ashes, Ashes (which I have finally finished) was one of the top three he's ever had made for the press (which has published over 50 books).
5. Bruce paid me $500.00 for the cover.
6. Bruce really liked my concept for the cover of The Sinful Life of Lucy Burns, and he's paying me to design that one as well.
7. my several different methods of stalking publishers have paid off and I have at least two lines of contact willing to speak with me =)
8. the pandora station I created today is even more delightful than most.
9. I hung out with Lura.
10. my fish built another epic bubble nest (I don't know why thursday is always his bubble-nest-building day).
11. Obama. still president. still happy.
12. finally had my hair cut yesterday and it looks great.
13. this list is longer than I realized it would be (and 13 is a lucky number).
the only downer was that ritz camera at the towson mall is now closed, so I have nearly $100 in gift certificates from a photo contest, and I now have to pretend I like things bought at malls, rather than stocking up on giant photo prints and frames.
