I'm Home!!!!

And really really tired. No, I am not going to be like Megan and recall every little detail of band camp.. given that I didn't do a whole lot that would make most days different from the other. I will just recap each different camp.

Yamaha Sounds of Summer Percussion Camp, Ellensburg, WA - This camp was a blast. The weather was really hot though.. it made me anger very quickly. This one doesn't have much to it. We rehearse for four hours, break for lunch, rehearse for four more hours, then go to sleep. We stay in dorm rooms on the Central Washington University campus... but that doesn't mean we have air conditioning. My friend Rebecca and I spent half an hourtrying to figure out how the cool air worked before going outside and running through the lawn sprinklers. Worked for a little bit, I guess. The next day, we practiced for about 6 more hours and then did a little show for our friends and family. It went pretty good for the most part. I remembered my parts and moves. There are a LOT of hot guys that go there and they are usually fairly disciplined. A marching percussionist can stand at attention for over half an hour without moving.. other than to blink and breathe. Makes us look good, for once. That's about all from Yamaha SoS.

Burton Music Camp, Vashon Island, WA - THIS was a fun camp. Fucking awesome food and everyone is so nice to you. I made a ton of friends here. Short list of them: Matthew, Lauren, Jered (I already knew them.. but I added them), Chelsea, Emma, Ben, Liz, Rhiannon, Tahlia, Allison K., Allison T., Harrison (my God is he hot...), Michael (so is he), James, Martin (they're twins.. identical), Kyle, Sean (so are they.. the 2 sets of twins were in the same cabin...), Danica, Jen, another Jen, Amy, Natalie, Patty, Bri, Angi, Tom, a different Tom, Andy, Jim, (the next people are counselors) Lysander, Matt, Mike, Adreinne, Karen, Travis, Jesse, Daniel (I swear he's gay...), Greg, Becca, Carri, and Alec (I already knew him.. he was my percussion instructor in sixth grade). That's all I can think of off the top of my head... NOW to continue! Let's see... major events... On Thursday, I believe, we (my cabin) stole the Hut's fridge. You want an explanation I'm guessing. Okay, The Hut is in Moore Cottage.. the nicest place to spend camp. They have a couch, a mini fridge, real beds for the counselors, and a recliner. They chose to brag about it by sitting on their porch on the recliner and talking about the mini fridge at roll call. My cabin consisted of the senior girls at camp, so we should have had Moore. We had had enough of them, so we (or Rhiannon, Liz, and Natalie, rather) crawled in through the window and took the fridge. Yeah, they found it, yeah, we got in trouble. But it was still fun! They, in turn, stole the mattresses from the two cabins surrounding us and framed us for the crime by putting the mattresses behind our cabin. We ended up having to wear a red 'T' (for theif) the next day. Wasn't too bad. And then Carribbean Night (last night) we played the steel drums for those who weren't in steel band and there was a limbo contest and ice cream and serenading to other cabins. SOOO much fun. Oh! Skit night was also a blast. Our skit made fun of the freshmen boys because my cabin was technically on the guys side, and we were right next to a cabin full of freshmen guys. Muahaha. Good times. We redeemed our name because we kind of screwed up the first two nights. Haha

Well, that is all I can really remember and I don't feel like typing. I miss Adam more than ever right now. *sigh* Life is... weird.

Ciao!
