I guess it's different for everyone. I prefer my friends... My good, trustworthy friends. I think I'd even prefer strangers over parts of my family, because at least I wouldn't see the stranger again. They could go around and say 'so-and-so is such a thing' but... everyone will not know who they are talking about. So, no harm done.
