Please excuse my handwriting - I’m still getting used to writing with a Quill.

I had such a great first day of class so far! I wasn’t really sure that Hogwarts was the place for me, but today I cast my first spell. I actually turned a match into a needle! using real magic! It was sooo cool! Now I get it, finally - I mean, I know Tab and you showed me what you could do, and I read all the books and everything, but I didn’t really BELIEVE it, you know? But I did it! Even Ms. Maganacul Mogannonagal McGonagall praised me in front of the entire class, and I got 5 pts. for Ravenclaw! It was awesome!

Now I go to my first Defense of Dark Arts class, which should be cool, too. Only have 10 min. to get to class, so I’ll write more later!
