I'm going to "blame"
ashfault76 for dragging me to the latest Madonna show as he did all the legwork - all I had to do was meet him downstairs after work and Green Line over to the United Center. I use the word "blame" largely in jest naturally, but that doesn't offset the fact that I'm usually not a big fan of large impersonal stadium pop/rock shows. While the sound quality at the United Center was just about as horrific as I was expecting, the show *was* quite stunning. Of course with Madonna, its far less concert due to all the backing material, and much more performance. Outside a few short bits, the show worked together quite nicely and was wildly enjoyable.
...and such pretty LED video screens... :-D
(always wonder what it would be like to produce a show like that ... both from an overall production perspective and from a technical design perspective... think it might be a fun gig!)
Was certainly great to finally meet
ashfault76 although admittedly I was half beat so not very good company for his short stay in the Windy City.
