San Francisco
So this was my first real trip to San Francisco where I wasn't there for work and ushered around to the work site and the Wharf (ugh). Stayed at the Diva and the four days disappeared in a hurry. In short, the first day was spent with Robert and Ryan at the brand spankin' new Cal Academy of Science and learning the Muni and seeing a bit of Golden Gate Park in the process.
Day two was hiking along Ocean Beach then the coastline via the Coastal Trail and then wondering about the Mission for a (gasp) Mexican dinner. :-D
Saturday was some downtown exploring and the SFMOMA which was a bit disappointing, and then a most fun dinner at WalzWerk... you guessed it "East" German cuisine with the necessary attitude and decoration. Was fun... then a bit of clubbing out on the Castro which was fun but admittedly a bit disappointing relative to Chicago's bar scene IMHO.
Sunday took the Muni bus out to the Presido, saw the Blue Angels and then walked along the beach to the Golden Gate, crossed it on foot and returned back to the Diva and packed for home. A few photos from the trip, clickie for more...
