I haven't checked out
Jungle Life lately, so I decided I'd stop by. I cruised down a few articles, and I found out about this guy: William Spencer. I don't know a whole lot about him. I Google'd his name, but just found links to the YouTube video. So, without further ado, some really insane skateboarding.
Please watch this video! It's insane!

When I saw this I was really brought back to my middle school and early high school days of skateboarding. I was never amazing, but my friends and I were really into it. At the time my friends and I raved over skaters like Jeremy Wray, Bam Margera (pre viva la bam and early jackass), Eric Koston, Brian Sumner, Rodney Mullen, and other members of the Baker, Adio, Element, and Birdhouse teams.
Jungle Life describes Spencer's style as a mix between Bam and
Gleaming Cube (A 1989 Action/Skateboard film), but what I see is the next evolution of tech skating in a style that buts heads with Rodney Mullen. Considering that I am not really up to date on the current skate scene and the level of street riders, this seems to be some pretty cutting edge stuff. Towards the end of his career in the early 2000's Rodney Mullen was on the cutting edge of techy street skating, but William Spencer seems to really be pushing the envelope.
Rodney Mullen (back in the day):
Here is link to a blog that
Jungle Life links to that has a little different insight on William Spencer. Apparently he's just sponsored by a local shop in Denver.
I hope you enjoyed this. Doing something a little different than usual. :)
