Night
Back at the campsite site……
Shippo and Kirara have cuddled up with Sango as she lies there still sobbing. Suddenly a form appears in from the mist. Shippo looks at it with question.
“Kagome?”-Shippo
“No, I am Setsuna ruler of this territory.”-Setsuna
“What do you want?”-Shippo nervously noting her strange eye color and tail.
“I’ve come to talk to her.”-Setsuna as she waves her hand at Sango.
“What, what do you want?”-Sango
She sits up and looks suspiciously at her. Wondering what this demon could possible want to talk to her about.
“I’ve just come to tell you not to worry. Nothing happened. I willed him to do what he did only to get information, that’s all I wanted. He truly felt nothing for me.”-Setsuna
“Why do you care if anything happened? You’re only a demon, aren’t you?”-Sango
“Just because I’m a demon doesn’t mean I’m completely heartless does it?”-Setsuna
With that she disappeared into the woods.
“No I guess it doesn’t.”-Sango
Night
Back in the woods……….
InuYasha stands over Miroku who is sitting on the ground trying to figure out what happened. All he can remember is chasing Sango and the disturbing feeling of being manipulated.
“Man what’s wrong with you?”-InuYasha
“I don’t know, it was like I was in a trance or something. I think that demon women tricked me.”-Miroku
“I think I’m gonna go have a chat with her. Damn she never said her name.”-InuYasha
“It’s Setsuna, her name is Setsuna. I can’t remember much but that’s one thing I’ll never forget.”-Miroku
“Oh thanks.”-InuYasha felling sorry for his friend.

Back at campsite…..
Kagome finally reaches the campsite after many wrong turns due to the heavy mist in the air.
“Oh, Kagome it’s you. I thought it was that lady again.”-Shippo
“Huh, what lady?”-Kagome
“She had a big fluffy tail, and silver hair, and red and gold eyes.”-Shippo
“It’s the same women we saw in the forest, the one that fixed Miroku.”-Kagome
“So you saw her too?”-Shippo
“Ummhm, but what did she want here?”-Kagome
“She came to talk to me.”-Sango as she pulls her knees closer to her body.
“What did she say?”-Kagome
“She came to tell me that she made Miroku do the things he did.”-Sango
“So are you okay now?”-Kagome
“I don’t…I’m not sure if I …..”-Sango
“Sango, can I talk to you please?”-Miroku interrupts and she nods her approval.
“Hey lets go find InuYasha.”-Kagome
“He went to look for that demon women.”-Miroku
Kagome takes Kirara and Shippo to go look for InuYasha leaving Miroku and Sango to talk in peace. Miroku walks over to Sango and bends down in front of her, then takes her hands in his.
“I am very sorry that I hurt you Sango. I don’t know what happened. It’s like some force took control over me.”-Miroku
“I’m still not sure I can trust you completely. What if some other beautiful woman comes along?”-Sango
“Do not worry, Sango. That lady is certainly beautiful, but my heart belongs to you.”-Miroku
Sango blushes and then he kisses her on the forehead and takes her in his arms. She offers him a small smile still unsure of him.

In the woods…
InuYasha tries in vain to follow Setsuna’s scent, but in a forest that she travels frequently it is difficult. *I know she’s here somewhere. If only it weren’t so damn hard to follow her scent.*
“InuYasha!”-Kagome
“Kagome?! What’s wrong?”-InuYasha
“Oh nothing Miroku is just making up with Sango so I took Shippo and Kirara to find you.”-Kagome
“Oh.”-InuYasha
“Well have you found her?”-Kagome
“No, it’s hard, she must travel this forest a lot, cause I can’t find a single path that leads to her. Her scent is everywhere.”-InuYasha
“I bet if you concentrate you can find the strongest one.”-Kagome
“That’s what I’ve been trying to do, but it’s hard. It’s as if the whole forest smells of her.”-InuYasha
“Well then let’s just go in the direction I scenes she’s in.”-Kagome
“Wait, do you mean to tell me that she has a jewel shard?”-InuYasha
“Not one, but three.”-Kagome
“Why didn’t you tell me that earlier?”-InuYasha
“Well you didn’t give me a chance.”-Kagome
“I didn’t give you a chance?! What do you mean, is all you had to do was to say ‘She has shards’ and we wouldn’t be here right now.”-InuYasha
“Whatever, I don’t want to argue with you.”-Kagome
“Well then where is she?”-InuYasha
“I think she’s that way.”-Kagome as she points.
“Alright let’s go.”-InuYasha
He grabs her and puts her on his back and jumps off into the woods leaving Shippo and Kirara.
“Let’s go back to camp Kirara. I’m tired.”-Shippo

Setsuna’s Cave……
As Setsuna returns from her excursion she finds Korosu near their caves entrance. He looks dismayed, sensing something is out of sorts they enter cautiously looking about as they walk. Moonlight floods the cave up to the pit in the center, after that its darkness. Korosu held his head low to the ground listening and smelling the still air. Setsuna calls forth her swords; as they materialize out of thin air they send flicks of light bouncing about the cave.
“Who’s there? Make your presence known.” She pauses. “If you know what’s good for you you’ll answer me quickly.”-Setsuna
“Strong words, but can you back them up?” says a voice from the shadows.
A tall demon man walks from the shadows. His silver white hair reflects the moonlight bouncing off her swords. His voice is deep and smooth showing no hint of fear from her threat. He is cloaked in white robes with details of red. His armor shone bright and she noted he carried a large sword at his side. She stared at his face for a moment seeing the markings of a powerful demon; a single crescent moon on his forehead.
“So that’s where you’ve been hiding. What do you want? Why have you come here, to this place?”-Setsuna
“I have been sent by Naraku to destroy you.”-Sesshomaru
“Well unless you are more powerful then he who sent you, you will not be leaving successfully.”-Setsuna
“How dare you imply that the master is weak. He is the Demon Lord of the Western Lands. He could kill you in a matter of seconds, so you would do wise to watch your mouth, wench.”-Jaken
“That’s enough Jaken. We will see who the stronger demon is.”-Sesshomaru
“Ah, I knew there was more then one of you in my cave, but I still smell human. Don’t tell me such a powerful demon as yourself is one that has taken a human lover?”-Setsuna
“Ha. Don’t be stupid. My father may have been weak at heart but I fortunately am not.”-Sesshomaru
Rin peaks her head around from Sesshomaru’s leg.
“Ah there it is. Tell me why are you hiding a human?”-Setsuna
“She is none of your concern. Now shall we begin?”-Sesshomaru
“Of course, but let us take this outside if you will. I’d prefer no blood was shed in my home.”-Setsuna
“You confidence overwhelms me. What makes you think you will win this fight?”-Sesshomaru as he walks by her.
“Ha-ha, what makes you think you will?”-Setsuna
She follows him out of the cave but looks back at the girl and small demon.
“Korosu deal with them.”-Setsuna as she waves her hand at them.
“If she is harmed your wolf will die.”-Sesshomaru
“She! He means me too, doesn’t he? Master Sesshomaru wouldn’t want me, his faithful servant to be killed as well.”-Jaken to himself. Rin looks at him oddly. “It’s all your fault, Rin. Ever since you came along the master cares less and less for my safety.”
“Oh master Jaken don’t be silly.”-Rin
She laughs at him and walks to the edge of the cave to watch the ensuing battle. Jaken follows shortly after her.
“Why do you care for her so?”-Setsuna
“That is none of your business. Now that is enough talk. Are you ready to die?”-Sesshomaru
“I was just about to ask you the same thing.”-Setsuna
He reaches out his hand and a light whip comes out, he swings it at her. She leaps into the air and lunges at him with her swords, her sword barely missing him. He attacks with his poison claws, but she jumps out of the way. Again he brings forth his whip, using it as if an extension of his hand, to strike at her from far away.
“So you are a Demon Lord?”-Setsuna
“That is of little relevance to our meeting.”-Sesshomaru
Again he strikes at her and she dodges.
“Draw your sword!”-Setsuna
Once more she lunges at him with her swords, narrowly missing him. She lands behind him and before she knows what’s going on he grabs her with his one arm, keeping her from fighting.
“I never draw my sword.”-Sesshomaru whispers in her ear.
She turns to become face to face with him, a look of confusion on her face. It was in this moment that he realized how stunning she was. Her hair was white with a hint of grey undertone, and it fell in her face, hiding her eyes. But at this close distance he could see them clearly, they were intoxicating, unlike any he had ever seen. And out of the corner of her left eye, were swirls of blue that came down on her cheek and over the brow. She also had a faint blue starburst on her forehead; he felt that was an odd marking, one he had never before encountered.
“And why is that?”-Setsuna
“Because I have no need for it.”-Sesshomaru
She pulls away from his grasp and looks at him curiously.
“I’m still not clear on why Naraku wants you dead.”-Sesshomaru
“I know his secrets. I know how to kill him.”-Setsuna
“Then why don’t you?”-Sesshomaru
“Because he controls my soul and without complete control of my soul it is harder to defeat him. So I seek the shards of the Shikon Jewel in hopes that one day I will be able to over power my creator.”-Setsuna
“Well you have proven to me just how powerful you are. It would be terrible if such a beautiful creature as you were to die. I have no desire to fight with you any longer.”-Sesshomaru as he jumps out of her attack range.
“He can’t be giving up so soon, his task is not near complete.”-Jaken to himself.
“You are giving up?!”-Setsuna
“No I am merely ending the battle for now.”-Sesshomaru
“Well then I thank you, but I can not allow you to remain in this place for much longer. You must leave now.”-Setsuna
“Fine, Jaken lets be on our way. Rin come to me.”-Sesshomaru
Rin runs to his side followed slowly by Jaken. They begin to walk towards the field.
“My name is Sesshomaru. You would be good to remember it. We will be meeting again, be sure of that.”-Sesshomaru
“I look forward to it.”-Setsuna
Sesshomaru walks into the shadows of the forest, Rin at his side and Jaken trailing behind. Setsuna watches till her keen eyes can no longer see their forms in the darkness, then she turns to Korosu.
“Come Korosu let’s get some rest, it’s been a strange night. But I fear it’s not over yet. I feel those travelers are going to cause me unjust pain.”-Setsuna
They walk into the cave and lie down on their straw bed. Korosu lies next to her and she pets him till he falls asleep. But sleep eludes Setsuna; fore she is plagued with thoughts of her last encounter with Naraku and the strange demon he sent to kill her.

In the woods…..
InuYasha and Kagome have stopped to get their bearings.
“Are you sure she’s in this direction?”-InuYasha
“Well I’m not positive, but I think she is.”-Kagome
“You think she is?! Are you tellin’ me you’ve been leading me around on a hunch?! ”-InuYasha
“Look it’s hard to find anything in this forest. It’s so dense, kinda like some half-demon I know.”-Kagome
InuYasha stops and looks at her out of the corner of his eye.
“What’s that supposed to mean. You callin’ me stupid or something, ‘cause I can leave you here, ya know.”-InuYasha
“You wouldn’t dare! You need me, remember.”-Kagome
“Yeah, whatever.”-InuYasha
“I was just saying its hard to find her. Maybe we should just go back to camp.”-Kagome
“We’re not going back till I talk to her.”-InuYasha
“Why do you want to talk to her?”-Kagome
“I don’t know I just really wanna talk to her.”-InuYasha as he begins to sniff around again. “Huh, I know that scent. Why didn’t I pick it up before?”
“What scent? Whose is it?”-Kagome
“Sesshomaru.”-InuYasha
“Are you sure?”-Kagome
“Of course I am. Id know his scent anywhere.”-InuYasha
“But what would he be doing here?”-Kagome
“I don’t know, but the scent is fresh, se he was here recently.”-InuYasha
