"Clerestory" - John/Sherlock; mature

And this was my second pinch-hit, for yalublyutebya's delightful story Friends with Benefits. I had a very clear image in my head of Sherlock's mind palace, particularly a clerestory (a row of windows high above eye-level, meant for letting in light and/or air). Absolutely gorgeous -- what a great take on the original, which was really fantastic as well. I love how the two pieces are so intertwined... with Sherlock knowing in advance of John that the two rooms have merged, and thinking himself slow. But that they both realize they are the same with each other regardless of the role they think they inhabit as lovers or friends. It's great.

I really adored the original's take on the idea of the relationship being so fluid, and wanted to illustrate that in some peculiarly Sherlock way. I really liked having Sherlock be grumpy about the laws of physics being broken for John. Thanks so much!
