His Last Bow (Sherlock + John, PG)

Hi, everybody!

I've had a truly terrible joke to work into a Sherlock story for months now, and at last it is being unleashed upon the world. Don't say I didn't warn you - which, incidentally, is more than I did for the lovely and forgiving oxoniensis, who did a thoughtful and enthusiastic beta on this story. 4500 words of gen, Sherlock and John at ( Read more... )

Sherlock's inner monologue throughout this is truly a thing of beauty, as well as the friendships between Sherlock, John, and Lestrade. Brilliant. :D

Sherlock is so much fun to write sometimes, when he lets his snark flow freely. Thank you!

This was utterly delightful.

This was originally going to be a five-times fic: Sherlock's last (violin) bow, Sherlock the pirate looking across his last bow of his ship, Sherlock bowing as he was being applauded . . . but this was the only one that consistently made me laugh, so that's the one I wrote.

Thank you!

This is lovely, from the punny title to the end :D I love Sherlock gaining a reputation for telling the life stories of all the customers - I can just see it becoming one of those terrible 'local colour' stories on the local news (if there is such a thing in London)

Yes, I wasn't sure how much of the "wrapping station"/"terrible holiday music medleys" stuff was US-specific either, so I just hoped it worked for England and Harrods. I *love* the idea of a local color story being done on Sherlock! Thanks!

OMG this is hilarious! Just picturing Sherlock stuck behind a counter wrapping presents for the idiot masses is high comedy! LOL His inner dialogue is brilliant. I especially love the complimentary (for him, anyway) thoughts about John. And the crack about Mycroft and DNA. Bwah!

His last "Bow": kill me now. seriously. Heeeee....

Yes, I do enjoy Sherlock looking so entirely out of his depth and yet making the situation suit him. Hee! Glad you enjoyed it!
