I love seeing Edmund through Charles' eyes here, Charles so longing, and at the same time so humble and self-deprecating. One of the many things I loved about him.
Charles is so willing to stand up to Edmund at first that the way he starts effacing himself and getting moony over Edmund is always a delightful surprise. Man, I love the idea of Edmund walking around all unconsciously beautiful and Charles just yearning for him. Mmmm.

Now I want to write loooooong fic with Edmund being confused into lust by Miss Granham, being pined after by Charles, and then longing for Marion. Mmmmm, those thighs.
Oh dear, this is such a late reply (*glares at work*) but I just had to drop you a note to say that this made me think of Helen of Troy, 'the face that launched a thousand ships'. Benedict's thighs - the legs that launched a thousand fanfics...??

This is utterly, utterly gorgeous. Charles' longing really comes across, and the way this flows is just lovely.
