I just finished my first full-length fanvid for Supernatural. And the idea for it came out of nowhere. I've got, no exaggeration, more than a dozen other songs in mind that would work for this show, and yet I came up with a Dean-centric vid set to Muse's cover of "Feeling Good." I'm never going to be able to go to sleep, because I keep checking LJ *one last time* and getting distracted by fic. Then I see a Dean-centric video, and I'm like a raccoon with a shiney object. Oh, pretty. Must stare at.

Great vid. I love me some Dean, and this totally fit the bill. :-D

Oh, thank you so much! Yeah, the song doesn't really make sense, unless you can wrap your mind around the notion that Dean's experiences of the world are extraordinary.

Glad you liked the opening bits before the lyrics kick in.

That's actually Mary on the ceiling, but it's interesting that both of Celine's victims in the pilot have long blonde wavy hair.

I don't think I purposely stylized/put a filter on the Dean-in-the-water scenes (I'll check when I finally get to my home computer tonight); I think it's just how the ep looks.

Yes, sickly Dean is lovely. Bruised and dimmed and just radiating sweetness.

The sound is supposed to crash in when Dean flicks the tape cover away; I wanted that little moment to have a strong beat. It synchs up for me, but sometimes my player freaks out and things stutter.

I wanted Dean's relief at finding Sam to come just before the clip of Sam shooting him, since I thought that emotional juxtaposition was more significant than the physical one of Dean holding a gun-switches to-Sam holding a gun would be.

And I'm glad the ending worked for you!

I didn't know Michael Buble covered the song; I only know the Muse cover and the (original?) Nina Simone version. I picked Muse rather than NS because it had that harder edge. Thank you so much for your lovely comments!
