Happy Thanksgiving! (Here in Spain of course we don't celebrate it). It is funny, this year I can't find my Xmas spirit... It's surreal how hot it is here in BCN! I love warm weather but... this feels kinda weird (and it is affecting my mood of late. Sigh).

I’m glad you had a good day! :D You know, I need cold weather to find my Christmas spirit… And the weather here is ridiculously warm right know. I don’t know why, but it makes me feel a little bit cranky (weather tends to affect my general mood a lot). But well, yesterday I went shopping and I bought some lovely decorations (most of them are totally useless but oh-so-cute!). So let’s hope this is the start for me :)

I find that Christmas things with sparkles and feathers, a little gluhwein and the movie White Christmas always puts me in the holiday mood. Of course, it's a cold, clear night here - feels just about perfect. I hope you get some Christmas-y weather soon.

I understnad completely about the weather affecting christmas spirits - its been a fabulous November here but as a result I haven't been feeling Christmas at all however last night I was looking for something in the basement and started peeking into boxes and ended up moving all my christmas ones to one part of the basement b/c I knew I would need them soon and today I am feeling a little more in the spirit from having looked at things. I love some of my decorations. I was asking Bee and Heather the other day how Christmas is when it's always warm - it's just not christmas to me unless there is snow and I am bundled up in a funky scarf with matching mittens!

I feel exactly like you right now. We have a mild weather in Barcelona, but not *that* mild. And it is difficult for me to find my Christmas mood if it is not cold, and I am not wearing my coat and one of my scarfs :) But as I was telling Liz, yesterday I went shopping and ended up buying a lot of Christmas decorations (I have tons of them but… they are so cute --and cheap!!-- I can’t resist ;)). Anyway, I agree with you, I can’t conceive Christmas without cold weather! :)
