Not that this has anything to do with Thanksgiving, but hey! Muppets! *g*

Have a safe and fun holiday for all you celebrating. Everyone else, just be safe and have fun in non-holiday related ways this weekend.

Muppets! That was great - towards the end I was concerned about no Kermit. Perhaps he had perished in those frog plagues that have been sweeping the earth. Oh me of little faith!

Hey, how are you (I`d insert a question mark here but the laptop refuses to acknowledge them tonight so instead I will use a dollar sign)$ Big family thanksgiving planned$ Work as usual tomorrow in the land to the north. I`m happy your thanksgiving has finally arrived though because that means I can officially start decorationg for Christmas once this weekend arrives. I`m not feeling the season as we`ve had ridiculous warm weather through most of October and November so perhaps this will kickstart my holiday spirit.

I know! I kept thinking I'd missed him, but no - Kermit was playing the straight man to his deranged friends, per usual.

I'm good. How are you doing? Small Thanksgiving this year actually, so very low key (as opposed to the usual 20 people over to mom's for breakfast and then a different 20+ people over for dinner). A lot fewer dishes.

I can't tell if it's been warm because it's been very, very wet and my heat is broken, which might make it seem colder, but yes, Christmas is upon us so let the decorating begin! I'm sorry you have to work tomorrow, even though everyone up there does. I shall be torturing myself by taking advantage of the sales and buying new running shoes in the morning. I really hate shopping (in general) on Black Friday (in particular), but the deals are too good to pass up sometimes.

I'm doing well - my huge oil and gas deal I was working on a few months back was passed by shareholders the other day (wipes brow in relief, breaking a company in two is hard work!) so we're in closing mode now. A few more late nights and then all should be good. I hauled out some christmas decorations last night in anticipation of the craziness which is getting everything set up - that usually takes a day or more. I'm a bit of a christmas nut. Have a pretty packed weekend planned - involing lots of food, shopping and socializing so it should be fun. Plus the setting up of the trees! I'll send photos of my one tree which I call the charlie brown tree. It brings me nothing but joy whenever I see it all decorated. It's a pretty fun tree. Okay, I am babbling so will go now.

Sounds like you are going to have a really fun weekend. I'm glad that you are winding down, you've been working entirely too hard. I'm a Christmas nut too, but I'm debating decorating or not since I'll be going to Napa Valley for actual Christmas. . . we'll see. Plus I have funky decorations, like wreaths made of feathers and very sparkly things, that the cats like to attack and I'm feeling lazy about sweeping up feathers and playing 'give me back that ornament right now!' with them.

I look forward to pictures of the Charlie Brown tree.:)

I always had a crush on Gonzo. I can't fully explain it.

Part of my love for Gonzo is that he falls in love with chickens. Plus he's such a wistful puppet in the quiet moments, I just want to hug him.

Wistful- exactly. I think I was charmed by his imaginative and melodramatic style. Very close to a young OMF in temperament.

You were a teenage gonzo?

In The Muppet Movie he sang the really hauntingly lovely I'm Going to Go Back There Someday and that was sort of a clincher for me.

Aw, muppets! Love them!!! :)

Happy Thanksgiving! (Here in Spain of course we don't celebrate it). It is funny, this year I can't find my Xmas spirit... It's surreal how hot it is here in BCN! I love warm weather but... this feels kinda weird (and it is affecting my mood of late. Sigh).

Anyways, have a great day! :D

They're the best.

Thank you.:) It was very nice. It's always interesting to me how the weather affects the holiday mentality for Christmas in particular. You've got a month to find your spirit, and I am confident that you will.

I’m glad you had a good day! :D You know, I need cold weather to find my Christmas spirit… And the weather here is ridiculously warm right know. I don’t know why, but it makes me feel a little bit cranky (weather tends to affect my general mood a lot). But well, yesterday I went shopping and I bought some lovely decorations (most of them are totally useless but oh-so-cute!). So let’s hope this is the start for me :)

I find that Christmas things with sparkles and feathers, a little gluhwein and the movie White Christmas always puts me in the holiday mood. Of course, it's a cold, clear night here - feels just about perfect. I hope you get some Christmas-y weather soon.
