one more time to say goodbye

Today was the ceremony with an open casket. I had never seen a dead person before. It was scary, touching, depressing. We cried for nearly an hour and a half. I miss him so much...seeing him all pale and cold, still dressed in his favorite green sweater, his baseball cap lying by his head.

and still the whole time, there was that little smile...that little smile he always had.
