I'm sure you've seen the video.

- what do you mean 'what video'? Only the most hilariously bad lie-filled political propaganda video of the year, if not longer.

That video. The one produced by the National Organization for Marriage. Go see it, you won't regret it.

I realise I'm famously fickle about these things (what deficiit disorder?), but at the moment NOM is my favourite thing to watch.

And my favourite thing to watch people laugh about.



Here's the other thing; marriage opposition groups are powerful, organised and well funded groups. They play political games and peddle lies. Look around NOM's website; they're not about persuading people fully, they're about playing the game to 'win'.

If you care about equal rights for everyone in any country, it's worth keeping an eye and understanding the tactics used by anti-equality groups.

And that is why we - Bing and I - have decided to start the Organisation Monitoring the National Organization for Marriage.

Because somebody's got to do it.
