Nothing much to report
I won't be volunteering at the NHM this weekend, and instead will be helping out
Izzy at the London Film and Comic Con. The guest list is huge and star studded, but at £10 a pop bollocks am I going to go queue to meet any of them. I bought a pole (cheap at 50p!) from the costume shop yesterday and have fixed the not!Scythe, so that's a Mel costume all ready to go, and if the leotard
Daniel was generous enough to buy me arrives on time, I'll have a Dinah costume as well.
The reason I'm vaguely relieved at the lack of volunteering- despite the fact that I love it with an unholy passion greater than anything - is that I have twin mouth ulcers on my tongue and cheek, so as both areas are swollen, my molars are happily scraping away at both. This, as you can imagine, is making talking for any length of time a considerable challenge.
Ow.
I have been treating it with TCP and mouthwash and all that, but tonight, because it's such miserable weather, I shall be out on the lawns of the museum for the staff party, treating my sore mouth with booze and even more talking.
I love this museum.
