Ever since I was a young child, there's been a symptom of being ill - a feeling, I think, that is very physical indeed but I've never ever been able to describe sufficiently to others. In fact, this lack of description has added to its status as something mysterious and dreadful which has always brought on anxiety fits that an ill adult shouldn't ( Read more... )

Wow, hello, I've no idea who you are, but I have had exactly this sensation when I was ill as a kid. It was so completely bizarre that I never vocalised it to anyone, but I remember it really strongly. Glad I'm not the only one! I think it must just be hypersensitivity having rather odd effects.

And to the poster above, its not that disorder, its not simply a visonary illusion of having big hands, its a much more tactile sensation, of things not fitting properly somehow, your fingers being too large or too fragile at the same time.

Sorry for the gatecrash! This was really interesting to read.

I'm so glad you got it too, though. I see we have one mutual friend - you here through friends' friends?

Yes! I was just skimming around, this kind of leapt out at me from brain_opera's friend's page.

...in other words, massive procrastination! Nice to meet you though! I hope one day we meet by chance and get to use this topic as our mind-bending conversation starter. :D
