Sadly he is not made up of parts.

I know I turned iGor off last night, I checked. This was after, having arrived at the cinema to meet up with steely_glint, davegodfrey,  sumerianhaze and the_greek_geek, I couldn't get him to turn off. He'd pause all right, but he wouldn't actually go to standby. I was a little worried right then this might be because I cancelled the sync when leaving, 'cause of running late, and then he didn't seem to disconnect from Katy properly. But his batteries were full, I knew that much.

When I got home, I checked to make sure he wasn't playing, cause I thought I could hear tinny music. He wasn't.

And yet this morning his batteries are all dead and shit. You know how iPods are when their batteries are flat: he's refusing to do anything at all, occasionally flashing a screen at me, but other than that, a total AppleMac sulky fit. I have him plugged into Ford right now and I hope he's charging, but....EH. I don't want him to be so broken he can't go into standby.

The film I went to see was Stardust, and there's a scene in it, in which Michelle Pfieffer removes Ricky Gervais' ability to talk. And the entire cinema went 'yay', and I hope it a long term effect that spills into all his TV and movie appearances from now on. She's Catwoman, I know she can do this.

This morning I was talking to the Greek, and he suggested that Ricky Gervais was a better cultural Ambassador than, for example, the Bad Guys on Star Wars. To which I said "Bah!"

Poll British Stereotypes

I also reread the last two issues of Buffy Season 8 when I got home, and it made me wonder if Brian K.Vaughan has actually ever met a British person. And also what he thinks a fancy dress party is.

Cast of players for people relatively new to my LJ: iGor: an iPod.Katy: a home  desktop, Ford: a college-owned laptop.

britishness, movies, computers
