IB loves Fancy dress.
After a museum LGBT forum (more of that later, maybe) and a stopover at college for expenses claims, I headed home early (as in: before the shops shut) to scour the Fancy dress and charity shops, with furikku's advice fresh in my mind, for my outfit for the Palaeontology Prohibition Party (presumably named for the museum's new policy on staff parties).
I now have both a pinstripe skirt and a pair of slacks (OMG, everybody, I'm a small size 14! Everyone rejoice!), as well as a Tommy Gun, a pair of slightly anachronistic shoes and a white blouse. Although Google image search is doing quite well at persuading me I should have a black blouse and a white tie. Especially considering the Greek's reaction at seeing my outfit is: "You're going to need a tighter shirt for naughty schoolgirl."
Stockings will be fishnet or silk, depending on a) the state of my hosiery drawer and b) what I feel like buying myself. Underwear will be bra and tap pants. My hair is unfortunately far too luxuriant and flowing for a proper 1920s do. So a hairnet it will have to be.
steely_glint is being wonderful (people don't' appreciate Spam enough. I think this should be fixed) and lending me the Hat of Goodness and the Minister for Internal Security Jacket, assuming it fits.
In conclusion: Yay!
