How is this semester so busy already?

School is already well underway and my head is spinning, ha. Old English is really intense. We're just plowing through the grammer right now, and we start actually translating in a few weeks. We're gonna translate Beowulf, guys. FUCKING BEOWULF. IT'S GOING TO BE AWESOME.

And the Hundred Year War is going so indepth! This is the third week of class and we're just now getting to the war itself. Everything up to this point has been just the roots of the war and build up and centuries of English-French squabbling before the shit REALLY hits the fan. Oh you medieval English and your creative torture methods...lots of chopping off testicles and then burning them in front of the victim. Poor Hugh Despenser the Younger. The English people don't take kindly to you banging the king and then getting a bunch of power because you're the ~favorite~

But Intro to English Studies is pretenious ivory tower self-proclaimed-intellectual horseshit. Bah. One bad and two good, not too shabby for this semester. And I start a class on Churchill later in September, that should be lots of fun too.
