seeing the light

I had a great day in copyright law. Everyone but me skipped so I hung out with my teacher and helped him write out a song that he has had in his head for years. I even brought in my sax a played it. Then, he told me he thought about my request to opt out of the last test and he realized that it was really silly for me to take it. So, I get tomorrow off, from his class anyway, I still have to teach.

On a more serious note, I saw the journal entries of
dreams_of_him and
alicat713  and I have a suggestion about making the effort to donate to charity. My husband and I have started a Christmas tradition that can be extend to any holiday.

We realized that we were buying gifts for each other to be buying them, not because we wanted any gift or needed anything. So we have begun to donate the money we would have allotted to give each other a mandatory present ,and to donate that to a worth while charity. It makes Christmas feel like Christmas again, so much so, that I have began to encourage others to follow in suit.

So, if you are the type that wonders where you can come up with money to donate, I guarantee that giving up a present you don't need, to give to someone who truly needs what we take for granted, makes you "feel like King Kong on Cocaine."
