Glee Rewatch 2014: New Directions
Things that happened:
1. It's like a meeting for bottle blondes only.
2. This scene is so useless like why?
3. Blaine got into NYADA! I mean, obviously, but yay!
4. Oh my god I forgot this FRIENDS thing happened. Obviously it made sense to fandom since we kept making jokes about it, but it must have been so out of place to the GA.
5. Hot daaaaamn that is a good kiss.
6. Jesus fucking Christ this is ridiculous. Also - Blaine's shirt is the same colour as Kurt's jeans. According to colour meta it's now clear who's the top and the bottom. ;) (No, but seriously, even in Tina's dream sequence they're presented as a set. It's cute.)
7. You know what, Blaine in the diner uniform looks like my brother in his work clothes. It's weird.
8. Wow Kurtcedes, you so subtle.
9. You know, with the literal spotlights and all.
10. Man, we've gone four seasons without a Kurtcedes duet. That's a long time. (You know what we've never had? A Kurtana duet. You know what I desperately want? A Kurtana duet. You know what what we're never going to get?) (I even have a song picked out for them! They could rock the house with You Oughta Know, I'm just saying.)
11. So the thing about this whole Pezberry feud is that at the start Santana really just wanted the chance. It was only after Rachel started attacking her that she got really vicious about it and decided to try and destroy Rachel with everything she had.
12. Ugh. I do not enjoy useless numbers. I enjoy them even less when they're Gwyneth Paltrow solos. (Do you think it's in her contract that she gets to sing whenever she's on Glee? Even Kristen Chenoweth doesn't sing as much, and she's a highly trained and extremely talented professional vocalist.)
13. A lot of this episode is very disconnected. Maybe that's why it's coming off as so cracky? But like, not the good kind of cracky.
14. That's a lot of lillies.
15. Also, fun fact! I know the writers were just having fun because they thought Lesbos sounds like, you know... lesbos... but! Lesbos is a Greek island that was home to Sappho, who was an ancient Greek poet that was one of the first significant female artists of the period AND is one of the earliest known confirmed lesbians. The term 'lesbian' actually does come from Lesbos. 'Sapphic' is also taken from Sappho.
16. "Walking away from a dream that you don't actually care about is you winning because it's you saying 'this is not who I am and I don't care who knows it'." Oh, Brittany.
17. Loser Like Me is so... lethargic. I completely blanked during it.
18. Santana has sparrows on her dress. She's ~flying away~
19. I mean, she didn't have to resign for understudy, it just would have been nice if she didn't keep implying that she was going to push Rachel down a staircase before the show.
20. There have been so many Pezberry songs in the past few episodes.
21. You know, Quinn and Puck's voices really aren't strong enough to carry a Pink/Nate Ruess song. But Quinn hasn't song in a long, long time, so that's good!
22. The choir room is so empty.

24. "I can say without a doubt that you dad saved my life."
25. Hepburn and Tracy. Of course.
26. I choose to believe that this video is actually an ode to Glee club as a whole and not Will. Since Will is, you know, judgmental and angry and patronising and generally none of the things that they are saying in this video. (And picks favourites and is rude and petty and...)
27. Oh nooooo.
28. Kurt has taken over the role of male lead.
29. I love the way they bring in the original five, and then the others from the first season, and then Sam, then Blaine, then the newbies. Very cool to see the way the story has grown.
30. I feel really bad that the newbies got no real ceremonial send off. The actors were super fucking classy about it though, so major props to them.
31. Oh my god, the band guys are graduating!!
32. THEY GRADUATED. BLAINE'S DONE. HE'S /DONE/. Could it be true?
33. The piano chair alone in the empty choir room.... wow.

- April and Holly are still scheming to get the glee club saved. They have this idea where the other classes will become musical instead, but they get a lot of complaints, so that dies pretty quick.
- Blaine got into NYADA and Tina got into Brown, so now everyone knows where they're going after graduation. And, miracle upon miracles, they actually do graduate!
- Santana and Brittany decide to run off together to Lesbos Island in Greece for a while.
- Kurtcedes are working together to get Rachel and Santana to get along. They don't really do much, but Brittany does have a talk with Santana and she backs off and resigns from understudy.
- In a final goodbye to the Glee club, they put together a video for Will's coming baby and perform Don't Stop Believin' one last time. And then, finally, the glee club is honestly over.
