The "top ten fics by hitcount at AO3" meme:
1. Special Seminar in Romantic Comedy (Community) [Makes sense, this was a Yuletide fic in the THE big Yuletide fandom of the year it was written. I'm fond of it.]
2. Away With The Boys In The Band (Bandom) [A big bang fic, so yeah, a high hitcount makes sense, but the fact that it's #2 on the list gives me A LOT OF FEELINGS because this fic really means a lot to me and the fact that other people LIKED it...::jazzhands::]
3. The Wrath of Jon (30 Rock) [Another Yuletide fic. Fond of this one as well.]
4. Devil Wouldn't Have You (Generation Kill) [This fandom had a second, or maybe third, renaissance after I was done with it and shortly after I put this on A03, so it makes sense. Also, it's dirty threesome voyeur porn. People like that kind of thing.]
5. Trigger Finger (Generation Kill) [See above, only this one is dirty gunplay porn. YEP.]
6. Rites of Spring (ATLA) [This one honestly does surprise me; it's a tiny little gen ficlet! But ATLA is a big fandom.]
7. Pages In Your Passport (Bandom) [Also a Big Bang, and only posted yesterday so the fact that it's at #7 is giving me a lot of flail and emotions and I have to keep sticking my head under a blanket. Ahhhh.]
8. Reclamation (Firefly) [Older fic, intensely h/c; I put it up on AO3 before any of my other Firefly stuff because someone specifically requested it and its preceding fic for a recs list they were putting together, which I assume is why it has so many hits.]
9. Salvage Mission (Firefly) [The preceding fic to Reclamation, same deal.]
10. Burn Your Mansion To The Ground (Friday Night Lights) [This is Lyla Garrity five things fic. I have no idea how it made the top 10 but it makes me really, really happy that it did. LYLA.]
And the "ten years ago what were you doing?" meme that's started in honor of MCR's tenth anniversary-
Late summer 2001? I was starting my senior year of high school. Equestrian team, marching band, stressing about AP English and AP Calc and college applications. Being hopelessly in love with boys who didn't know I was alive. High school.
