So I'm looking at the 9:30 Club's website while buying a ticket to see Cowboy Mouth this weekend. I promptly IM 
likeadeuce: "It would be silly to go see a band just because they're called 'Hotspur,' right?"
Cue half an hour of Shakespeare geekery and wondering if the band named themselves that because they're history-play nerds or soccer nerds. Also looking up their MySpace.
Verdict: based on the MySpace sample tracks, they're a pretty solid little baby band but I don't think I really need to see them Friday night. Deuce and I might have to order some of their t-shirts though, because the idea of wearing a "Drop it like it's Hotspur" t-shirt appeals to me quite strongly.
Also, Hank Williams III is playing Sunday night, but I'm not sure I actually need to do two shows in a weekend.
Drop it like it's Hotspur. Genius.
