Or a timely stitch? I picked up my long forgotten knitting again this week. I can't bear to even touch the crazy mohair wool I bought at great expense and with wide eyed optimism but I did grab an ancient ball of mustard coloured acrylic wool and sat down to knit it. Just plain stocking stitch, thirty stitches and no plan. It was that 'get back up on the horse moment'; a now or never kind of thing. This has given me the urge to look again for a plain and simple pattern without too many increases or decreases and certainly no fancy wool! I'm mildly miffed at the teacher who not only allowed me to buy the mohair, almost encouraged me to do so. Having said that though I reckon I'm a bitch of a student so probably deserved any spiteful wool selling I got hah hah!!!
So it was with a chuckle and a renewed enthusiasm I opened the mail yesterday to find two free tickets to the
London Stitch and Creative Crafts exhibition. I have engaged a yarn supervisor and we will head off into the belly of the ExCel centre, credit cards in hand and see where my next project takes me... :)
