Fic meme day 10
It's been about 2 weeks since I posted Day 9 of the fic meme because school has been eating my life. But I like the next day of the meme, so I want to get to post it because it makes me happy, and maybe I'll even post again tomorrow. Who knows!
Day 10. A fic that reminds you of someone
Pretty much the first thing that came to mind was that anything from my early lj days in lotrps and HP reminds me of
phineasjones, so I poked through my old lotrps tags and found the one below, which I very clearly remember reading a printed out copy of one morning in Phin's kitchen (3 or 4 or 5 apartments ago) on a weekend visit, accompanied by fun times looking at these kinds of pictures. And I'm probably merging two completely separate memories here, but I'm almost a hundred percent sure this was the morning after Thanksgiving and we were eating crescent rolls with some kind of chocolate spread thing on them... So it's entirely possible that this fic is so good, after you're done, you'll feel like you just ate about 7 chocolate croissants on a lazy Sunday morning.
Miranda, with the sleeves of her bathrobe rolled to the elbows, is standing over his shoulder eating a piece of celery with a nerve-scraping crackling sound on each bite. "You know your manhood is in no way connected to your ability to play chess," she offers. Crunch.
"Thank you," he says.
Crunch. The bitten end of the celery points to his remaining bishop. "Your days are numbered," she says.
