Fic meme days 2 and 3
Awesomepants - I've already managed to miss a day in the 30 Day Fic Meme, so today you get 2!
Day 02. A favorite new fic (posted in the last few weeks)
It looks like my most recent favorite was posted over a month ago, so apologies for the old news. It's epic telepathic law enforcement AU -- my absolute favorite.
Brian scratches his neck. "This is the NSA," he says, "The National Security Administration. They're feds."
Bob raises his eyebrows, all no, really?
Brian winces. "They employ telepaths. Like Asher and-" me. He can't say it. He folds his arms. "It's not as weird as it sounds."

Day 03. A long-standing favorite fic
This one is tough, because there's a lot of fic out there that I reread pretty often and absolutely love. Generally, things that make my head explode from joy are tagged in delicious under rocksmysocks or omgheart or just plain <3. It's not the most scientific system, but rocksmysocks pretty much means epic flailing happened. And for epic flailing to happen, there's usually something like a marriage of convenience involved, or a space opera, or pirates, pon farr, or just plain crack, and today's choice and my runners up unsurprisingly reflect this affinity.
Ryan does this thing.
It happens every two-and-a-half years or so, and is apparently genetic, but that’s really all Spencer knows. He’d asked a lot of questions the first time, but Ryan just kept answering, “I don’t know,” so Spencer had pragmatically stopped asking.
Besides, the first time it happened, Spencer had been kind of busy anyway.
