Amazing - I haven't posted since September. Grad school takes time, who knew? But I've been lurking in a complete magpie kind of way, bringing all kinds of shiny things back to the nest. Here are my favorite shiny things from the last couple of months:
1. Sherlock Holmes is my favoritest thing since toast with a buttery spread. I loved the movie, and just finished A Study in Scarlet last night and loved that too, and I LOVE THE MAGICAL AWESOME THAT IS ROBERT DOWNEY JR. AND JUDE LAW. Just look at them.
a. Cuddling ensues when asked about their "tremendous chemistry." RDJ: "To me it is the success of this venture, because that's what was in the books." ♥!

b. In which Jude discusses "having fallen madly for Robert Downey, who's a delicious man, both in private and in the workplace."

There are so many other lovely
RDJ/Law interview moments. How so awesome, fandom?
phineasjones has done a
fabulous post of recs that I lurve - what she said.
2.
FOB nooooo. Pete's little tweets! Also, for some reason this is making me want to read a historical romance novel AU in which Ryan and Spencer are melancholic Lord Pete's precious children (their mother tragically eaten by a bear) and Lord Pete forbids Ryan to run off with scruffy ostler Jonathan Jacob Walker. I'm sure it's already been written. Anyone?
Also, I have watched Patrick's
little solo album plug a whole lot and I love it and him oodles and oodles. He should probably just fit in some Pete-time while recording.
3. Star Trek reboot: still the love. Ditto for Merlin and Supernatural. So much love.
Their little faces! ♥
4. SGA fic is so so good. I've been reading stuff I haven't read since 2005, and it's such comfort food. I can't get enough of it. During the end of last semester, I hit all the epic AUs, from
The Convenient Husband to
Ladies Night at the Boom Boom Room to
Hindsight. And I'll probably be doing it again come April. John/Rodney is my safe, happy place.
My little timer is about to beep telling me I've used up my allotted break and it's time to go back to reading for class. Next up on the docket is Enabling vs. Coercive Bureaucracy. I'll be sure to let you know if there are any implications for the United Federation of Planets or Scotland Yard. The total geek in me wants to do a work process design chart for Holmes's cases. Or an operational flow chart for how Bobby assigns jobs to hunters. \o/
