Well, right now I am in the depths of an Odin helmet, so I will be mucking through that at warp speed.
It's for Dragon Con for a friend.
I just came off building some fantasy guns and sabres, I really need to post those.
Anyhow, as I said before, I gave up on doing Bilbo for Halloween this year. Hard to find the proper Corduroy fabric, and i don't want to just do a generic Hobbit outfit. After the film comes out, i am sure there will be more accessible sources.
Until then, I am probably settling on cosplaying Anakin (RoTS version) for Halloween.
I have been told several times I resemble him. Maybe, I have the wavey red brown hair.
I need to rent the film, I have not seem all of it. >> ( And it has Chris Lee and Bruce Spence in it, so, I guess I won't be in total pain. :P )
I am getting the boots and glove and a basic light saber. Frocky and I are going to work on a general outfit, and I hope hope to get a nice robe to be reused for my photography later.
I am now also vamping up for my next (2013) costume. which I toyed with maybe I could do it this year... but nah, too much work. Maybe one day.
Yeah, Loki.
I am not a huge comic book/Marvel fan. I enjoy the movies (actually Captain America is my favourite....) and did not warm up to 'Avengers' until the second watching.
Then I was wondering about that schmexy villian with black hair. With the helmet. Why do I always fall for the guys in the helmet?
I admit, I look NOTHING like Hiddleson. Well, I have blue eyes (darker with black) and kind of femme features.
And I am short and curvey, so it'll be a challenge to pull off nicely. Yeah. >>
And spooky enough, I probably will be making that helmet for someone else at the same time. (well, to be correct, a male and female version of the helmet...)
I like having a costume I can work on long-term, it makes for my best results. Enough procrastinating, back to work.
