Ok, so, new English coursework. We have to "transform" a text, taking an existing literary text and making it something different. So, for example, adapting a book into a screenplay. Right up my alley, in fact.
But, as a warmup exercise, we had to change a fairytale or folkstory, based on The True Story of the Three Little Pigs (funniest children's book going), putting a different slant on events. So, I decide to do something quite similar. I came up with a character by the name of DI John Wolf, and his involvement in the arrest of the Red Hood Gang.
And so John, it seems, has taken up residence in my head. Big Time. He seems to have brought a whole world out to play, the silly bugger. For homework I have to write a paragraph or two (teacher's gone soft, clearly) to focus on the story aspect I've changed. So I will post that once it's written, as well as the start of the story proper.
Oh, and the bit I quite like - after John (a human in Fairyland by mistake) has made his presence known in the criminal underworld, he will earn himself the nickname Big Bad.
