Happy Christmas Eve, and happy other holidays to those of you who don't celebrate Christmas.
As much as I complain about spending money and driving home, etc., I do love the holidays. It was really good to see Christina yesterday. After nine years of friendship, she really does know me well. It was just awesome to be able to sit down and talk to someone who understands everything I have to say without me having to explicitly say it. I mean, I get that with my college friends, too, but it's just... different. And I can't wait to see Jess and Jill on TUESDAY!!!! Damn, I miss those girls.
Then, I came home and played on my computer and thought about making a cake, but I ended up watching reruns of 24 instead (which was a way better option, if you ask me). I got a phone call that pretty much made my day. Then, I waited up for my mom to get home (funny how roles are reversed, huh?) and went to bed. This morning, I got an e-mail from a student from my student teaching at BHS talking about his girlfriend. He sounded sad, but at the same time I thought it was a little cute that he still feels like he can e-mail me about stuff.
Somehow, this break from teaching and from LP has made me not only reconsider where I'm headed next year, but also be assured that I'm doing what I really want, even if the locale is less than ideal.
So anyway, happy Christmas Eve, and I hope everyone has a lovely holiday season.
