Vacation Axioms
Back from vacation. Ahhhhh. It was wonderful to not consider the clock, to not enter the antiseptic workplace.
I learned I could definitely not work and I would never get bored. Work on writing and research in the morning -- three or four hours. Take a lunch break. Work another few hours. Dinner. Socialize. Every day.
I also learned:
NEVER mix four different kinds of alcohol in a single evening and walk -- with a bald head -- anywhere near an electric meter. OUCH!
DO go to the zoo and get caught in a down-pour and DO go to the lake and paddle around in the sun before daytripping all over the park.
I obviously enjoy being a student who learns at a much slower pace ... .
